Hyderabad: Two-day MUN kicks off at Symbiosis Law School

The MUN also hosts few of the most experienced executive board members with a dynamic outlook who aim at steering though the sessions with a professional touch

Hyderabad: The SLS-H MUN 2021 organised by the Symbiosis Law School, Hyderabad, was inaugurated in the presence of former Union Minister and Rajya Sabha member Suresh Prabhu on Saturday.

According to a press release, the MUN which is a two-day affair hopes to hone the bureaucratic and debating skills of the delegates. The MUN also hosts few of the most experienced executive board members with a dynamic outlook who aim at steering though the sessions with a professional touch.

Suresh Prabhu emphasised on having such events which provide a platform to students at large, transcending the local boundaries. “This is not a Mock UN, it is a Model UN. there is a difference. A Model UN, reflects the aspirations of people, and demonstrates how the world should move and the UN provides leadership,” he said.

He added, “We need the United Nations, but not the same United Nations that we see today. We need the United Nations, not just as a body, but a strong UN with a vibrant soul. A United Nations that captures the imagination of the people, but also encompasses the societal needs.”

Dr Anuradha Binnuri, Deputy Director of SLS Hyderabad, convenor of the SLSH MUN, Dr. Srinivas Bandameedi and others participated.
