The Telangana government ordered a major reshuffle of IPS officers on Saturday, transferring senior officials and giving key postings in Home, Vigilance, ACB, Intelligence, and Disaster Response. Hyderabad CP C.V. Anand was elevated as Special Chief Secretary to Government.

The Telangana government appointed IPS officer V C Sajjanar as Hyderabad Police Commissioner on Saturday, transferring C V Anand to the Home Department. Sajjanar earlier served as Cyberabad Commissioner and TSRTC MD.

The body of Rama, who was swept away in Hyderabad’s Afzalsagar nala on September 14 while trying to save his relative Arjun, was found at Nagole on Friday. Arjun’s body had been recovered earlier in Yadadri district.
