KT Rama Rao inaugurates Project Ashray
The medical covid facility has 100 beds to treat mild to moderate Covid cases.

Hyderabad: Industries and IT Minister KT Rama Rao on Wednesday inaugurated Project Ashray, a 100-bed medical covid facility at Hitec City. It also has six bridge ICU beds.
The new facility aims to help Covid patients with mild to moderate symptoms and in the process help hospitals save emergency beds for the more needy and critical patients.
It is set up by United Way Hyderabad and SCSC with support from industry associations like the HYSEA, TSIC, TIE Hyderabad. The initiative is also supported by Cyberabad Commissionerate.
It will offer medical care 24/7. Grace Cancer Foundation is providing the medical infrastructure, doctors, nurses, medical staff and run day to day operations.
Donations and CSR grants from MNC IT companies are channelled through United Way Hyderabad and SCSC, Legato Anthem, DBS, IHS Markit, Harsco, Providence, Deloitte, SBI and many others.
The service will be offered free of cost. For non-Aarogya Sri and Aarogya Bhandu card holders, only nominal costs will be charged for blood tests and Covid special medicines.
Srinivasa Hatcheries is providing eggs to the facility while Almond House will provide dry fruits. Viiveck Verma of TiE Hyderabad will be the project manager of the facility. The plan is to reduce the operations as cases recede and donate the infrastructure to government and other charity hospitals.
MLA Arekepudi Gandhi, MLC Naveen Kumar. Industries Principal Secretary Jayesh Ranjan, Cyberabad Police Commissioner Sajjanar and others participated.
