Hyderabad: The new Integrated Collectorate Complex and the District Police Office (DPO) constructed with state-of-the-art facilities in Kamareddy district are ready for inauguration. The district administration is making elaborate arrangements for the inauguration of the two buildings by the Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on June 20.
Instructions have been issued to officials concerned to complete the pending works in the two buildings before June 20. The ground plus two storeyed Collectorate Complex was constructed at a cost of over Rs.64.2 crore in 25 acres while the two storeyed DPO building cost over Rs.15 crore in 30 acres with sufficient parking facilities.
The Roads and Buildings (R&B) department constructed the Collectorate Complex near the office of Superintendent of Police (SP) to accommodate all the government departments. Apart from sufficient parking facilities, a hall to accommodate over 200 people was also constructed to enable officials conduct meetings regularly.
“We started the construction of the Collectorate Complex in 2017. Proper road connectivity has also been provided to enable visitors reach the office in a hassle-free manner,” an R&B official said, adding that the Collectorate office was presently located on old NH-7 in Kamareddy town.
The Telangana State Police Housing Corporation Limited (TSPHCL) constructed the DPO building with all facilities including a dedicated command and control centre. “We constructed the DPO building with facilities similar to the Police Commissionerate in the city,” an official said.
Accompanied by the district Collector A. Sharat and other officials, the Government whip Gampa Goverdhan inspected the new buildings on Monday to review the arrangements to be made for the visit of Chief Minister on June 20. Goverdhan asked officials to complete the pending works on priority.
When contacted, a senior police official from the district said the department has received communication about the Chief Minister’s visit to the district to inaugurate the new buildings.
