Palla’s challenge to opposition leaders
Palla on Sunday declared that he was willing to pull out of the race if opposition leaders could prove wrong the figures mentioned by him on job recruitment by the TRS government.
Nalgonda: Rythu Bandhu Samithi president Palla Rajeshwar Reddy, also the TRS candidate for Warangal-Nalgonda-Khammam graduate MLC election, on Sunday declared that he was willing to pull out of the race if opposition leaders could prove wrong the figures mentioned by him on job recruitment by the TRS government.
Rajeshwar Reddy, accompanied by Nalgonda MLA Kancherla Bhupal Reddy, was speaking with a group of morning walkers at NG College ground here.
Seeking their support in the election, he said the Economic Survey of the Centre revealed that Telangana State was placed third in economic growth in the country. The per capita income also increased to Rs 2.25 lakhs after 2014 when Statehood was achieved. “The survey also says that Telangana was implementing welfare schemes with revenue generated through taxes, mineral and natural resources. “Telangana State has been getting lowest funding from the Centre, but has been witnessing rapid economic growth due to the initiatives of Chief Minister K Chandrashakher Rao,” he pointed out.
Stating that 1.31 lakh vacancies in various departments had been filled by the State government since 2014, he said 32,000 vacancies were filled in police department, 35,000 were recruited through TSPSC, 9,350 panchayat secretary posts and 350 jobs in universities, 5,500 driver and conductor posts in TSRTC, 9,000 posts in electricity department were filled by the government in the last six and half years. In addition to this, services of 24,000 artisan posts in electricity department had also been regularised by the State government, Reddy said.
The State government, he said, would also make an announcement pertaining to filling another 50,000 to 60,000 vacant posts in different departments. “The State government has not only filled vacancies in the public sector, but has also created lakhs of job opportunities in the private sector by attracting investments through its entrepreneur-friendly policies. About 2.11 youth landed jobs in the IT sector in the last six and half years. In all, 14,000 new industries came to the State through TS-iPASS which created 14.5 lakh jobs in the private sector,” he said, adding that majority of the youth, who were getting jobs in these private companies, were from Telangana State.
Graduates in the constituency, he said, should vote for the candidate who is capable of solving their problems, and not one who makes a hue and cry over everything.
