Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy directed officials to strengthen MMTS services in Hyderabad by increasing train frequency during peak hours, improving passenger amenities, and exploring mini-bus services to enhance last-mile connectivity and boost ridership.

TGSRTC has planned a series of measures to improve first and last mile connectivity in Hyderabad by strengthening bus links with MMTS and Metro stations. The initiatives aim to ensure smoother travel and better access for daily commuters across the city.

South Central Railway will run eight special MMTS trains on September 6–7 and 7–8 nights to manage Ganesh idol immersion rush in Hyderabad. The late-night trains will cover key routes and halt at all major MMTS stations

The Hyderabad Traffic Police issued a traffic advisory ahead of the ‘At Home’ reception hosted by the Governor of Telangana at Raj Bhavan on Friday evening. The police have urged citizens to avoid the area and take alternative routes during the event.

Certain MMTS services running on October 9 have been cancelled.

While the Secunderabad – Falaknuma (47250) service has been cancelled, Falaknuma – Hyderabad (47201) service has been partially cancelled.

In this regard, the MMTS Train Station Sadhana Samithi and the Suburban Train Travellers Association have urged the railway officials to construct a new station at Anandbagh and a station near Loyola College in Alwal for the convenience of citizens, particularly students.

Many passengers who start early from their houses end up reaching late to their workplaces due to the delay in the running of the MMTS services,” said Noor Ahmed Ali.

Passengers allege that the MMTS services seen as not profitable were being cancelled often due to various reasons such as track maintenance, and operational factors.
