Villagers of Lakshmi Sagar in Sangareddy district were left shocked after five liquor outlets with belt shops suddenly opened despite a panchayat resolution banning liquor sales five years ago. When sarpanch Uppari Lakshman complained, Jogipet Excise Inspector Sagar Reddy urged him to support liquor sales, a reply that was recorded and widely condemned.
The Medchal Excise Task Force arrested a youth near Suchitra for transporting OG Kush, seizing 260 grams worth ₹3 lakh. Suppliers Sujeeth Rao and Navya, based in Himachal Pradesh and linked to Hyderabad contacts through courier and video calls, are currently absconding.

Excise officials took two persons into custody besides seizing the two cars and Rs 40,000 along with the ganja. The worth of the seized ganja was put at Rs.31.60 lakh.
After a while, they developed health problems while working in agricultural fields. While Suresh and Srinvas had froth coming from their mouth, the others complained of nausea and dizziness.
