Former MLA Gandra Venkataramana Reddy accused the Congress and BJP of colluding to weaken the Kaleshwaram irrigation project while neglecting farmers’ issues in Telangana. Speaking at Telangana Bhavan, he alleged that both parties have targeted the project under the guise of commission reports, yet failed to address critical problems like uneven rainfall and urea shortages.
Venkataramana Reddy ridiculed Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao's claims that fertiliser supply to farmers depends on the supplies from the Central government which has been asking States to encourage organic farming.
