A round table meeting of student unions in Hyderabad, organised to demand the implementation of the High Court’s verdict on Group-1 exams, was disrupted by police action leading to the arrest of key student leaders including BRSV president Gellu Srinivas Yadav. The unions pledged to continue their agitation until justice is delivered to Group-1 aspirants.
The BRS has intensified its attack on the Congress-led Telangana government following the High Court’s scathing verdict on irregularities in the Group-1 Main examination. The party demanded the cancellation of the exam, withdrawal of GO 29, and dropping of cases against protesting job aspirants.

In an open letter to Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Friday, Kavitha criticized the Congress government for neglecting the concerns of unemployed youth, accusing it of plunging thousands into despair. She alleged that the government was jeopardizing the future of job aspirants by not ensuring a fair and transparent conduct of the Group-1 examination. "The Group-1 results have sparked serious doubts among the aspirants," she stated in the letter.
While the Public Service Commission is going ahead with conduct of the exam on Monday, the job aspirants are sparing no efforts by organising demonstrations and not budging from their demand to postpone the examination.
Telangana had moved an appeal against the order stating that lakhs of aspirants would be put to disadvantage for the baseless apprehensions of a few petitioners
The aspirants brought to the notice of the High Court about the government’s negligence in conducting the Group-I exams and that there was no other option left before the court except to cancel the exams, he alleged.
