Speaking to mediapersons at Nizamabad on Monday, Kavitha said despite having "SHE Teams" initiated by the previous BRS government to prevent crimes against women, the Congress government failed to ensure its effective functioning. She demanded that Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, who handles the Home department, conduct a special review meeting on women's safety and take urgent measures to control crime against women.
