Madhusudan stated that as many as 250 procurement centres were created for buying paddy produce from farmers across the district and added that they are expecting about 2.30 lakh metric tonnes of paddy to be procured this season.
In a review meeting at his camp office here on Saturday, Shashanka informed that 5.9 lakh tonnes crop is expected to arrive since paddy was sowed in 2.55 lakh acres in this Yasangi season
Stating that the Telangana government was always thinking about farmers, he informed that setting aside old rules, the state government led by Chandrashekhar Rao was supplying water to the agriculture sector from projects.
Minister Gangula Kamalakar instructed officials to make all arrangements at paddy procurement centres to ensure the farmers do not face any problems at PPCs.
