In a shocking incident, an auto driver has been arrested after he raped a 12-year-old girl student of a school in Lucknow's Hazratganj area repeatedly for seven days.

Official sources said that a girl student lodged a police complaint alleging that a teacher approached her while she was seated in the classroom and forcibly removed and tore her hijab.

On September 8, 2022, a case was registered against him under IPC sections 354A (sexual harassment), 406 (criminal breach of trust), 506 (criminal intimidation) and the POCSO Act, he said.
