With the current weather pattern of humid heat and intermittent rains expected to persist through next week, residents anxiously hope for more substantial showers to avoid slipping into a below-normal or deficient rainfall category.
The city recorded a maximum temperature at 27.8 degree Celsius on Tuesday. For the next two days, the maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 28 and 24 degree Celsius, respectively.
Though the district received relatively less rainfall compared to other districts in the State, the rains saved the crops that had started withering a week ago.
Light to moderate downpour, which was recorded in almost all the regions of Hyderabad on Saturday, are unlikely to relent, as the city is expected to witness steady rainfall all through Sunday, the forecast indicated.
