Former Sathupalli MLA Sandra Venkata Veeraiah alleged large-scale irregularities in PMEGP loan sanctions and pre-primary instructor appointments in Khammam district. He demanded a vigilance inquiry, action against officials and transparency in the recruitment process by publishing the merit list and interview marks.

The farmers explained to the BRS leaders that the traders and officials denied procuring cotton without even examining the cotton they brought to the market.

BRS district president, MLC Tata Madhusudhan also asked the Collector to probe into an incident of doctors acting negligently towards a farmer who went to the Government General Hospital for treatment following snakebite recently.
