Senior BRS leaders Sandra Veeraiah and Lingala Kamal Raju have accused the Congress government of abusing power and unleashing violence against their party workers in Khammam. They alleged that Congress workers, backed by Deputy CM Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, attacked BRS supporters in Madhira constituency and other villages, while police acted in a biased manner.
They said the government was doing cheap politics over Dr. BR Ambedkar statue and not allowing the public to visit the place. When in the opposition Revanth Reddy claimed to be the questioning voice but after coming to power oppressing the opposition leaders, they noted.
The farmers explained to the BRS leaders that the traders and officials denied procuring cotton without even examining the cotton they brought to the market.
BRS district president, MLC Tata Madhusudhan also asked the Collector to probe into an incident of doctors acting negligently towards a farmer who went to the Government General Hospital for treatment following snakebite recently.
