"As a result, under Rule 168(1) of the Telangana Legislative Assembly Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business, we are issuing a breach of assembly notice on behalf of the BRS Legislative Assembly party against the Finance Minister," the party stated.

BRS legislators arrived at the Assembly building holding placards and chanting slogans in protest against the handcuffing of one of the arrested farmers. However, they were halted by police and Assembly security, who informed them that they did not have permission to enter with placards. Among those leading the protest were BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao and senior leader T. Harish Rao.

In response to a question from BRS MLA T Harish Rao, state Panchayat Raj Minister D. Anasuya Seethakka stated that the amount owed to village Sarpanches (whose tenures have ended) up to November 1, 2024, exceeds Rs 691 crore. She assured that the bills would be cleared soon.
