The court, which had reserved its decision on November 20 following a petition by Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader Patnam Narender Reddy’s wife, delivered its verdict on Friday. Shurthi, the wife of the former MLA, had challenged the registration of three First Information Reports (FIRs) for the same incident. Justice K. Lakshman, after considering the arguments presented by Reddy’s counsel, decided to quash two of the FIRs.
The decision came following a writ petition filed by Katikam Raja Reddy, representing local farmers concerned about the environmental impact of the industrial project.
