The West Bengal government has welcomed the Supreme Court's decision to set up a search committee for shortlisting and appointing vice-chancellors in 13 state-run universities.
The universities should not just remain as ‘teaching universities’, but instead they should emerge as the centres of innovation, research, and development, Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan said
