Unable to take up further harassment being meted out against her, the young woman fled from home and approached the local police

who suspected her of practicing black magic. Late Thursday night, they doused her in petrol and set her on fire. Fortunately, local residents intervened, rescuing her and rushing her to a hospital in Hyderabad. Despite receiving treatment, she succumbed to her injuries, police reported.
