A 30-year-old farmer, Guguloth Bhojya, died by suicide in Mahabubabad district after allegedly consuming pesticide. Family members said he had fallen into debt after a poor maize yield on his two-acre farm pushed him into financial distress.

The BRS has accused the ruling Congress of large-scale electoral malpractice in the Jubilee Hills bypoll, alleging distribution of fake voter IDs, cash, sarees, and other inducements. The party has urged the EC to deploy central forces for a fair election
