A 25-year-old man, Sai, died in a road accident at Jeedimetla on Thursday. He lost control of his motorcycle at high speed and rammed into a roadside pole. He succumbed to injuries on the spot. Police registered a case.

BJP MLA T Raja Singh has urged Hyderabad Police Commissioner C V Anand to act against Fisheries Federation chairman Mettu Sai Kumar for installing a Ganesh idol resembling CM A Revanth Reddy. Singh said the act insults the festival and hurts Hindu sentiments.

One of two men swept away in Medak’s Gangamma vagu during heavy rains was found dead near Rajpet village on Thursday. The deceased, Bestha Satyam, was identified as a local resident, while search operations continue for the missing villager, Yada Goud.
