The South Central Railway (SCR) has cancelled, diverted, or rescheduled multiple trains across its Hyderabad Division due to water overflow on tracks in the Bhiknur–Talmadla and Akanapet–Medak sections. Passengers are advised to confirm their train status before travelling as continued rainfall may lead to further disruptions.

The IMD has forecast very heavy rainfall in several northern and central Telangana districts on Thursday, with heavy rain expected in Hyderabad and surrounding regions as well.

Heavy rains since Wednesday have severely impacted normal life in Kamareddy district, Telangana. Overflowing streams, including Boggugudise, led to flooding and damage to railway tracks, prompting suspension of train services. Vehicular movement was halted on NH-44, while residents from inundated colonies were rescued by police.

BRS leader KT Rama Rao criticised the Telangana government for its inadequate response to the severe floods affecting multiple districts. With hundreds of villages marooned and vital infrastructure damaged, he called for immediate deployment of NDRF and SDRF units, setting up relief camps, and urgent repair of roads and communication lines.

Four persons are feared missing after being swept away by an overflowing stream in Nagapur village, Havelighanpur mandal of Medak district. Rescue teams were not available in the vicinity.
