TITA opens second Covid DawaKhana in Narayanpet district
The Covid DawaKhana initiative with the theme Stop Third Wave is aimed at creating awareness among the masses to tackle Covid amid talks of a possible third wave, said TITA Global President Sundeep Kumar Makthala.
Hyderabad: A second Covid DawaKhana, a joint initiative by American Telangana Society (ATS) and Telangana Information Technology Association (TITA), has been inaugurated at Balmoor in Nagarkurnool district on Sunday. Telangana Agriculture Minister Singireddy Niranjan Reddy inaugurated the DawaKhana that helps rural citizens fight the raging Covid pandemic. Last month, the first such DawaKhana was launched at Maganur in Narayanpet district.
Telangana Agriculture Minister Singireddy Niranjan Reddy got first consultation through TConsult and received medical prescription from the doctor through the telemedicine initiative.
Reddy praised TITA and said that it was demonstrating effective usage of technology in healthcare and urged rural citizens to avail the medical services at the DawaKhana. TITA Global President Sundeep Kumar Makthala said that the association plans to expand Covid DawaKhana services to other places as well. “The first Covid DawaKhana inaugurated at Maganur in Narayanpet district had completed over 100 free consultations. The Covid DawaKhana initiative with the theme Stop Third Wave is aimed at creating awareness among the masses to tackle Covid amid talks of a possible third wave.” The DawaKhana donor was Madhavaram Rangarao and he said that the health centre provides quality healthcare and advised people to avail its services.
At the medical centre, patients can avail of doctor services through online consultation. For this, TConsult app is being utilised, while ATS will provide financial and health services. Two doctors will be available online to offer services, while two health volunteers will be available at the centre. The centre will tie-up with local medical labs to take up various medical tests.
