Yadadri-Bhongir records 190.8 mm; Hyderabad remains cloudy
Yadadri-Bhongir recorded 190.8 mm of rainfall, the highest in Telangana overnight, while Hyderabad remained cloudy. Heavy showers affected multiple districts, including Nalgonda, Suryapet, Warangal, Khammam, and Bhadradri-Kothagudem, with more intense rainfall expected on Monday.

Hyderabad: While the people of Hyderabad woke up to a gloomy, cloudy, but relatively dry Monday morning, residents in multiple districts of Telangana, however, had to deal with the aftermath of heavy overnight showers.
The overnight storms, described as ‘massive’, lashed several regions in Nalgonda, Yadadri-Bhongir, Suryapet, Warangal, Khammam, and Bhadradri districts.
The maximum rainfall in the last 24 hours between Sunday and Monday morning, based on TSDPS data, was recorded in Valigonda (Yadadri-Bhongir), which logged an astonishing 190.8 mm in just three hours. Two more locations in the same district, Atmakur (131.0 mm) and Mothkur (120.5 mm), also recorded exceptionally high amounts.
The weather system showed no sign of relenting on Monday morning, as IMD-Hyderabad and independent weather trackers warn of intense downpours.
Heavy rainfall is forecast for Mulugu, Warangal, Mahabubabad, Bhupalapally, Mancherial, Hanmakonda, and parts of Peddapalli and Karimnagar.
Other regions expected to receive heavy rainfall throughout Monday include Bhadradri-Kothagudem and Mahabubabad districts.
