Hyderabad: Hyderabad-based aerospace company Ananth Technologies has won the Award for Excellence in Aerospace Indigenisation from Society of Indian Aerospace Technologies & Industries (SIATI).
The award has been given for the development of VHF/UHF modules for V/ UHF Radio used in the front-line defence fighter aircraft. This has helped in substituting imported items, saving foreign exchange and contribute to the national resolve of self-reliance.
The award was given formally by Dr K. Sivan, immediate past chairman, ISRO in the presence of Dr CG Krishnadas Nair, president SIATI, and R Madhavan, CMD, HAL.
Ananth Technologies, established in Hyderabad in 1992 by Dr Subba Rao Pavuluri, over past 30 years, has grown in the space and defence sector with manufacturing and supplying of a host of mission-critical aerospace systems.
The company has manufacturing facilities at Hyderabad, Bangalore, and Thiruvananthapuram, with labs and clean rooms spread over 50,000 sq. m. area. The company has over 1,600 trained, certified technical manpower.
The company’s Satellite Assembly, Integration and Test (AIT) facility at Bangalore, is the first-of-its-kind by a private company in the country. The company works in close association with ISRO and country’s Defence Research Organisations including HAL Avionics Division.
