Khammam: Police have solved a sensational murder case reported in Khammam last month by arresting three accused who allegedly learned “easy ways to kill a person” from YouTube before committing the crime.
Khammam Rural ACP B. Thirupathi Reddy said on Thursday that the prime accused, Parimi Ashok of NTR district in Andhra Pradesh, who is currently residing in Khammam, befriended Gatla Venkateshwarlu (40), a private employee from Captain Banjara village in Kamepalli mandal. Their friendship later turned into a homosexual relationship. Venkateshwarlu often provided financial help to Ashok, who had suffered losses in agriculture.
Ashok, however, was also in an illicit relationship with Kommu Nagma, an ayah at a private hospital in Khammam. The duo, along with another accomplice, Penti Krishnaiah, hatched a plan to kill Venkateshwarlu and rob him of his money and gold. To execute their plan, they searched YouTube for ways to kill a person, sever body parts and dispose of the body, the ACP said.
On the night of September 15, Venkateshwarlu visited Ashok’s house and stayed over. In the early hours of the next day, Ashok stabbed him to death and then beheaded the body while Nagma kept watch outside. The accused packed the body parts in plastic covers, wrapped them in a bed sheet, and dumped them in bushes and garbage heaps in the Karunagiri area. They later cleaned the bloodstains in the room to destroy evidence, the ACP said.
Police arrested the trio and registered a case against them. They seized 2.7 tola gold chains, mobile phones, and other incriminating material from their possession.
The ACP appreciated Singareni Circle Inspector (CI) Tirupathi Reddy, Kamepalli SI B. Saikumar, Karepalli SI B. Gopi, and constables Sampath, Anand, Anji, Rajesh, Upender, and Saida for their swift investigation and efforts in solving the case.
