Kothagudem: Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar appealed to the villagers to make collective efforts for the success of Palle Pragathi for the development of rural areas.
The Minister along with Government Whip Rega Kantha Rao took part in Palle Pragathi programme at Bhadrachalam and Dummugudem and participated in Annadanam organised at Bhadrachalam marking the announcement of ‘CM Dalit Empowerment Scheme’.
Ajay Kumar inaugurated public toilets built at a cost of Rs 6.98 lakh on the premises of the Veterinary Hospital and a Pattana Prakriti Vanam set up at a cost of Rs 16.91 lakh at Bhadrachalam and Dummudem mandal headquarters.
He performed ‘Palabhishekam to the portraits of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao and B R Ambedkar at the Rythu Vedika premises at Bhadrachalam for the announcement of the Dalit Empowerment Scheme. Addressing a gathering, he said the villages were witnessing tremendous transformation with Palle Pragathi and asked the people to look after their villages as they look after their homes. The Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao wants the villages to develop in all fields.
The Chief Minister believes that the State would develop only if the villages were developed and hence designed a great programme called Palle Pragathi. The programme would bring back the past glory to the villages, Ajay Kumar averred.
It was the responsibility of all to ensure cleanliness in the villages and for that everyone should work together. Palle Pragathi helps to solve the problems in the villages and spread greenery to provide a better environment for future generations, he noted.
The State government was taking the Haritha Haram programme very seriously. Besides planting saplings care should be taken to project the saplings, he suggested. Ajay Kumar inspected integrated collectorate works near Kothagudem.
