Officials of the Regional Transport Authority have come under severe scanner for extracting Rs 600 to Rs 1,000 from the drivers of six-wheelers and 10-wheelers even as they possess all documents.

The accused, K Nagesh, demanded Rs 40,000, which was 10 percent of the pension amount, as bribe to clear the bill.

In-charge Adilabad ACB DSP VV Ramana Murthy said the administrative officer T Srinivas was apprehended while collecting the bribe from Kummari Venkatesh, a trader for renewal of his license.
