According to ACB officials, Anand Goud seized a sand-laden truck of one Gangadhar on June 26. When he approached the SI seeking the release of his vehicle, the SI demanded Rs.50,000 as bribe from him.

The Inspector accepted the second installment of the bribe amount of Rs 3 lakh at the parking area in the CCS office on Thursday afternoon. However, on noticing the ACB team, he tried to escape from the spot along with the bag.

The tainted officer was produced before the special court for ACB cases in Hyderabad for remanding in judicial custody. The case is under investigation. 

The duo reportedly violated official instructions and involved private persons in the procurement of sheep.

ACB officials said the tainted officials initially demanded Rs 2.5 lakh and accepted Rs 1.5 lakh as advance.

The ACB Ranga Reddy unit caught Veera Swamy and Shafi when they allegedly demanded bribe from the complainant at Kushaiguda and accepted through L.Upender for an official favour to close the case that was registered at Kushaiguda police station.

The accused was said to have demanded Rs 50, 000 from the farmer, K Ram Babu to issue Pattadar passbook for his agriculture land.

The accused official Sharath Kumar demanded the money to give electricity connection to a farm field belonging to the complainant Konakalla Aditya.

ACB trapped Gangadhara in-charge Sub-Registrar Shivaram Suresh Babu, allegedly while accepting a bribe of Rs.10,000.

The properties were purchased by Balakrishna with ill-gotten money, said the ACB officials. All of them were produced before the court and remanded.

The A-3 in the case, a private CCTV camera technician Karnati Naveen Kumar, who happened to be a regular mediator for the above accused, abetted the offence by assisting the constable in demanding the bribe to settle the issue.
