Five persons were travelling in a car when the vehicle rammed into an electric pole at CBIT road, Gandipet. Two of them died on the spot while three others sustained injuries.

The driver of the truck, which was modified to include a crane, lost control after dozing off while driving and ploughed into the roadside hut.

According to police, the accident occurred when the Jagitial-bound RTC bus rammed the auto rickshaw head on.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed grief over the incident and directed officials to provide relief to the victims.

It appeared that the victims were heading to their home after visiting a hospital in Sangareddy.
