Fourteen members of a family on a pilgrimage died and four others injured when their vehicle jumped over the road divider and collided with a truck in Kurnool district on Hyderabad - Bengaluru national highway
The deceased were identified as Renuka, a government teacher working at Gunturpally village of Parthagiri village, Sridhar, a businessman, and an employee of his company.
A vehicle collided head-on with a boulder loaded truck whose driver lost control of the vehicle and hit the divider and slipped towards its right side.
According to the police, the car, in which five persons were travelling crashed into the tanker on the NH 44 around 2.30 am. The family was from Saidabad in the city and was travelling in the car from Shadnagar after visiting a temple.
