Curriculum to undergo major changes this academic year

As per the new curriculum, the course structure will contain six theory and four laboratory courses in each semester for five semesters except for the sixth semester during which the students must undertake industry internships.

This came into limelight during recent inspections by the fact-finding committees (FFCs) constituted by the JNTU-Hyderabad as part of granting affiliation to the private engineering colleges for the academic year 2024-25.

These colleges were a common sight in the 1980s and 1990s that enabled several professionals to pursue courses including engineering, law and management among others.

The universities and technical boards have been asked to grant affiliation to its affiliated colleges by July 31. The last date for cancellation of seats in technical programmes with a full fee refund is September 11.t

In his keynote address, the Governor advised students to equip themselves to compete with the best talents of the world and emerge victorious.

The association asked for a quick review of degree program fees and DOST admissions.

Approach AICTE to kick-start new satellite campuses from the academic year 2024-25

In addition to showing 50 per cent of regular faculty, the colleges should have 60 per cent of the faculty with more than five years of experience.
