Uncertainty continues over whether expelled AIMIM leader Mirza Rahmath Baig will resign as a Telangana Legislative Council member. The party asked him to step down following controversy over a purported video. Baig has denied wrongdoing and alleged AI manipulation.

AIMIM has appointed Bahadurpura MLA Mohammed Mubeen as its in-charge of Rajendranagar Assembly constituency. The move comes days after the party expelled MLC Mirza Rahmath Baig and directed him to resign, following controversy surrounding a purported video.

AIMIM has intensified its voter assistance campaign in Hyderabad by setting up help centres and conducting door-to-door outreach to help eligible voters complete the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls. Asaduddin Owaisi has also raised concerns over the SIR exercise.

AIMIM state President Syed Imtiaz Jaleel, MP, said that the party will put up candidates from Mumbai, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Nanded, Dhule plus two in Muslim-dominated constituencies in Vidarbha, the eastern part of Maharashtra.

Asaduddin Owaisi remarked, "The judge, on his last day before retirement, appointed the District Magistrate as the receiver on January 17, and ultimately, he personally delivered the verdict."
