AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi will launch the party’s Uttar Pradesh Assembly election campaign from Bahraich, confirming its participation in the 2027 polls. The party is considering contesting around 200 seats while keeping alliance possibilities open ahead of the election.

AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi has urged the Telangana Chief Electoral Officer to ensure greater transparency and accessibility during the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls. AIMIM is preparing to contest the upcoming municipal elections in Telangana. The party has finalised candidates, plans to contest key municipal corporations and towns, and will begin campaigning soon, focusing on areas where it expects strong electoral performance.

The AIMIM has submitted objections to the GHMC’s draft ward delimitation, seeking boundary corrections. As the final notification is awaited, party cadres have begun lobbying for tickets, with the leadership expected to finalise its contest strategy soon.

AIMIM state President Syed Imtiaz Jaleel, MP, said that the party will put up candidates from Mumbai, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Nanded, Dhule plus two in Muslim-dominated constituencies in Vidarbha, the eastern part of Maharashtra.
