Anganwadi workers in Telangana staged a “Chalo Secretariat” protest on Thursday, opposing the state’s new pre-primary school plan and demanding higher pay. They alleged the move would endanger jobs under ICDS. Police later dispersed and detained the protesters.

Anganwadi teachers staged a protest at CM Revanth Reddy’s residence in Kodangal, demanding withdrawal of pre-primary school plans and job security. Over 300 joined, with several detained by police. Teachers also demanded a salary hike promised during the 2023 Assembly polls.
