In a statement issued on Saturday, Niranjan Reddy criticized the "Rythu Panduga" event held in Mahabubnagar district, claiming it seemed more like an attempt to intimidate farmers than a celebration. "The meeting appeared to be aimed at threatening the farmers of the State for not surrendering their lands in Kodangal, under the guise of a farmers' festival. The Chief Minister's tone suggested he might forcibly take the farmers' lands," he alleged.

Speaking to party members and leaders at the BRS office, he emphasized that the BRS president has made an indelible mark on the history of the State. He stated that the president's contributions to Telangana's journey to statehood are undeniable and will forever remain a significant part of its legacy.

He claimed that the State government's statements to the Centre about the project did not align with its actions on the ground. He commended BRS chief K. Chandrashekhar Rao for introducing and enforcing a law superior to the Land Acquisition Act, 2013. Highlighting Rao's background as a member of a displaced family, he emphasized that this experience gave the former Chief Minister a deeper understanding of the hardships faced by the displaced. 4o
