Telangana sees a rise in minimum temperatures, providing relief from cold. Hyderabad recorded a low of 11.6°C in Serlingampally. IMD forecasts rain in parts of the State this weekend, with Hyderabad expecting moderate to heavy rainfall around November 29–30.

Hyderabad experienced a misty morning as winter chill tightens its grip, with temperatures dipping across Telangana. Several districts recorded single-digit minimums. Authorities advised motorists to drive cautiously, while IMD forecasts isolated rain and thundershowers from November 22 due to low-pressure formation.

Telangana experiences a surge in winter cold, with 11 locations recording single-digit temperatures. Kohir and Yalal saw the lowest at 8.1°C. IMD forecasts minimum temperatures to remain 3°C to 4°C below normal over the next two to three days.

Kohir mandal in Sangareddy recorded Telangana’s lowest temperature at 7.8°C, with average temperatures 5.1°C lower than last year. Shivvampet and Pothareddipet also saw sharp drops. Residents have been staying indoors to cope with the severe cold.

Parts of erstwhile Adilabad district experienced severe cold for the fourth consecutive day, with minimum temperatures dropping to 10°C in Sirpur (U) and Tiryani. Residents kept warm with woollen clothes and bonfires, while fog disrupted traffic on NH 44.

The AQI was recorded at 349 on Monday at 6 a.m., according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).

HMPV is not an unknown virus; it occurs annually from July/August to December/January. These viral fever cases are being reported to clinics with symptoms of fever, sometimes high fever, body aches, headaches, fatigue, weakness, runny nose or total nasal congestion and lethargy.

The number of patients with viral fever symptoms like cold, cough, throat pain, body pain and high fever has increased at both government and private hospitals across the district.
