Contract sanitation, security, and patient care workers in Telangana government hospitals staged a protest in Hyderabad demanding a minimum wage hike to Rs 26,000 and better benefits. Led by AITUC, they submitted memorandums to health department officials.

ASHA workers in Telangana staged a dharna at the Commissioner of Health office, demanding a fixed monthly salary of Rs 18,000, pending PF and ESI benefits, and improved working conditions. They warned of boycotting ongoing healthcare programmes.

Thousands of ASHA workers staged a dharna in Hyderabad, demanding fixed wages, PF, ESI, job security, and paid leave, accusing the state government of failing to deliver on election promises.

A scuffle broke out between students and the police, who were deployed in large numbers and had barricaded the East Campus, where excavators were clearing the forested land. As students attempted to move past the barricades, they chanted slogans such as "Police go back," "Awaaz Do, Hum Ek Hain," and "Ladenge, Jeetenge."

The decision comes in response to disruptions caused by such activities, which have adversely impacted the smooth functioning of the university

The union leaders said as the SPDCL management had responded positively to their demands, the union had decided to postpone the protest.

The class 3 employees, a majority of them employed on contract and outsourcing basis at maternity hospitals across Telangana, joined the protest called by Telangana United Medical and Health Employees Union.

Irked at the shortage of teachers, the students boycotted classes and staged a flash protest along with their parents.

The Bar Association president T Chaitanya speaking to the media said that it was very unfair for the Central government to bring new laws- Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam (BSA)-2023 that curtail people's civil rights.

The teachers staged a sit-in in front of the office of the district educational officer and expressed displeasure over the delay in issuance of orders relating to promotions and transfers.
