Hyderabad district has recorded the lowest digitisation of electoral rolls in Telangana at 58.41 percent, while Yadadri Bhuvanagiri leads with 94.30 percent. District Election Officer RV Karnan has urged Hyderabad electors to promptly submit their enumeration forms before the August 10 deadline.
RV Karnan conducted an inspection of the main EVM godown at Chudi Bazaar. He reviewed storage conditions, verified stock registers, and assessed security measures. He instructed the staff to strictly follow protocols set by the ECI
Clarifying that mobile phones will not be allowed inside centres, Rose said that the counting process will commence at 8 am with postal ballots amid tight security arrangements.
“Flying squad, video surveillance, statistical surveillance teams, video teams and sectoral officers should be alert and inform official concern about violation of model code of conduct,”he said.
Explaining the details to Senior Deputy CEO of the Election Commission of India Nitesh Vyas in a video conference, he said polling booths were equipped with all necessary amenities.
Out the of 5, 41, 201 voters that were removed in the Hyderabad district’s 15 assembly constituencies, the number of dead voters were 47,141, shifted voters were 4,39,801 and duplicate voters were 54,259, the Election Officer on Wednesday said.
Considering the vulnerable polling stations determined in the last assembly elections, officials will once again assess the locations and come up with a revised list.
