During a vehicle inspection, Burgampad police arrested six persons who were smuggling ganja in three cars and seized 247.28 kg of ganja worth Rs 61.82 lakh in the district on Friday.

Three drug peddlers were arrested by the Mangalhat police in coordination with TGANB team on Sunday. The police seized 3.5 kilograms of ganja from them.

The substance was being smuggled from Odisha in a car and the worth of the seized ganja was 19.25 lakh.

Siddipet police nabbed nine persons, allegedly when they were purchasing dry ganja from one wholesale dealer at KCR Nagar in Siddipet town on Tuesday.

The police nabbed the trio and seized the auto and two-wheeler along with the ganja from their possession.

According to the police, the trio purchased the contraband from Odhisa and were transporting to Solapur in two cars on Tuesday.

In another incident, Mallapur police caught Ravula Nitin while carrying four kg of ganja from Reguntaa to Mallapur on his bike.

The Special Operations Team along with Medchal police arrested a drug peddler and seized 210 kilograms of ganja from him on Monday.
