The foundation stone for the project was laid on Friday by Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister K T Rama Rao.

The land is part of 32 acres allotted to Jawaharlal Nehru Journalists MAC Housing Society.

HMDA will use the learnings from the Indian Racing League races held on Nov 19 and 20 to improve the track and make it ready for the Formula E race.
