A yellow alert has been issued for the next three days indicating heavy rains. And orange alert indicating very heavy rains is issued at many places in the state on August 31 and September 1.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) for Sunday has issued a yellow alert for several Telangana districts, warning of the likelihood of heavy rainfall in isolated areas.
Several areas including Miyapur, Hafeezpet, Madhapur, Kukatpally, and their neighboring regions received moderate rainfall. Weather experts anticipate more intense moderate showers at the north, west, and central parts of the city for the next couple of days
The time that the rain gods chose to lash the city too has changed. While the day time get scattered and patchy rains with sweltering humidity persisting, heaviest of the downpours are hitting very late in the night or early in the morning.
With the current weather pattern of humid heat and intermittent rains expected to persist through next week, residents anxiously hope for more substantial showers to avoid slipping into a below-normal or deficient rainfall category.
