Minister for Roads and Buildings, Housing and Legislative Affairs Vemula Prashanth Reddy explained that earlier citizens were allowed to register the property even as their appeal to reconsider the stamp duty was pending with the IG.
"It was observed that some revenue officers were misusing their discretionary powers either to harass the applicants or resorting to irregularities through undervaluation of lands during the land conversion."
Minister for Roads and Buildings, Housing and Legislative Affairs Vemula Prashanth Reddy said that the Telangana government will ensure that the poor are not burdened by the Layout Regularisation Scheme (LRS).
