Hyderabad: Under the influence of the low pressure area over the Andaman Sea, the weather in Hyderabad on Monday was cloudy, hazy and at some locations even overcast. Thanks to the low pressure system, sporadic showers were also witnessed in certain parts of Hyderabad on Monday. Kapra recorded the highest rainfall of 3.5 mm on Monday.
According to the forecast by officials at Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS), some localities of Hyderabad might witness very light to light rain even on Tuesday.
The city witnessed a hazy Monday, resulting in a dip in the daytime temperature. The maximum temperature recorded in the city as per India Meteorological Department (IMD), Hyderabad was 27.2 degree Celsius, which is at least two degrees less than normal. The minimum temperature recorded during the early hours of Monday was 20.9 degree Celsius.
As the winter is round the corner, it is expected that the minimum temperature in the city will drop further. Localities including Mehdipatnam, Amberpet, Khairatabad, Saroornagar and Falaknuma might witness chillier nights, with the mercury dipping as low as 17 degree Celsius.
