Jagadish Reddy demands government to clarify about final date for completing loan waiver of Rs 31,000 crore as approved by State Cabinet

BRS member and former Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy alleged that the Congress was trying to discredit the efforts of the BRS in strengthening the power sector in the State.

"I will provide all the information I have to the Electricity Commission and expose the mistakes of those who testified," the former Energy Minister said.

He said the people would understand that his meek surrender to the Congress leadership owed to crumbs of cheap favours.

Speaking to mediapersons at Telangana Bhavan here on Tuesday, Jagadish Reddy explained that without the Chhattisgarh agreement, the State would have paid Rs 17,000 crore for the same amount of electricity.

He criticised the Congress party's history of unfulfilled promises, particularly its failure to implement its six guarantees by December 9.
