BRS working president KT Rama Rao has criticised the Congress government in Telangana for the State’s economic downturn, attributing it to "inexperience, incompetence, and corruption."

Urging authorities to prioritize providing quality food and addressing the real issues faced by the students instead of posing for photos and making use of the occasion for mileage, he said meaningful actions were the need of the hour to ensure the well-being of the students in these hostels.

Referring to the historical "Telangana Thalli" designed during the Telangana movement, he criticised the current administration for its lack of understanding and respect for the State’s cultural and historical essence.

The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) is all geared up to confront the Congress government in the Assembly over its unfulfilled promises and governance failures, particularly in agriculture, tribal rights and rural development. Interestingly, the Chief Minister’s statement came barely hours after several BRS leaders including T Harish Rao, G Jagadish Reddy, Padi Kaushik Reddy and others were arrested in Hyderabad

Kaushik Reddy reminded that his Huzurabad constituency was chosen as a pilot project under former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao's leadership, with the first installment benefitting many Dalit families.

The police said they could not visit the hostel without prior permission. The BRS leaders were released later.

Kishan Reddy, who released a chargesheet on the one-year governance of the Congress government on Sunday, said the Congress party vowed to deliver on its election promises within 100 days of taking office, yet after one year, not a single commitment has been met.

He complained that Revanth Reddy was plotting to send Chandrashekhar Rao and Rama Rao to jail to damage the BRS. The BRS cadres should draw inspiration from Deeksha Diwas and work with renewed zeal to strengthen the party, he said.
