TJUDA condemned the suspension of 65 junior doctors by CAIMS, Karimnagar, following their stipend protest on Doctor’s Day. Alleging police misconduct and administrative harassment, the association urged the Telangana CM and Health Minister to intervene and revoke the suspensions immediately.
Junior doctors plan indefinite strike, citing unpaid stipends, lack of infrastructure, and recruitment delays. TJUDA demands immediate resolution, including the creation of a green channel for timely payments and release of pending arrears since January
After feeling humiliated, the juniors approached the management and lodged a complaint. The college management verified the surveillance cameras footage and counseled the senior students.
The TJUDA and TSRDA on Saturday had served notices to boycott medical duties from Tuesday, December 19, due to pending release of their stipends since this September
RIMS Director Dr Banoth Balaram said 22 of the 70 students who had lunch developed vomiting, headache and nausea. They were admitted to the institution and their condition was stable.
