The Regional Passport Office, Hyderabad, announced that Passport Seva services will remain closed on May 28 following the revised Eid-ul-Zuha holiday schedule. All appointments fixed for May 28 have been rescheduled to May 27, and applicants have been informed through official messages.

The Regional Passport Office in Hyderabad will conduct a special passport drive on May 9, releasing 4,000 appointment slots to manage summer demand. The initiative aims to reduce waiting times and improve access to passport services across five PSKs.

Walk-in enquiries at the Regional Passport Office, Secunderabad, have been suspended on Thursday, February 26, 2026, due to administrative reasons. Applicants are advised not to visit the office and to use online services for passport queries.

Move aimed at catering to more number of applicants thereby further reducing appointment cycle

The adalat will be open for attendees from 10 am to 12:30 pm to resolve any pending issues related to their passport applications.

A total of 6,43,157 (2022), 4,28,246 (2021), and 5,32,785 (2019 pre-Covid) passports were issued.

A press release issued here by the Regional Passport Office requested the applicants to note that only applications routed through the Telangana State Haj Committee will be processed at this counter.

At present, a total number of 250 appointments were issued every day except Wednesdays, i.e., 125 offline (walk-ins) and 125 online appointments

To attend to the applicants whose applications are pending and who have urgency to travel, two enquiry counters have been opened in the Regional Passport Office, Hyderabad, where in 250 applicants would be attended.

The drives will be held at PSKs Begumpet, Ameerpet, Tolichowki, Nizamabad and Karimnagar. It will also be conducted at POPSKs Bhongir, Khammam, Mahabubnagar, Mancherial, Medchal, Nalgonda and Warangal.

The Regional Passport Office, Hyderabad is organising a cleanliness drive in and around RPO, Hyderabad.

The Regional Passport Officers and Head, MEA branch Secretariat, Dasari Balaiah has requested applicants to visit the respective PSK and POPSK for getting their applications processed as per the time schedule.

The Regional Passport Office, Hyderabad, has said the applicants would not require to carry the original documents at the PSKs/POPSKs provided the same is uploaded through DigiLocker

A decision has been taken to conduct special drives on four Saturdays till August 5, excluding July 29, in five PSKs and the 14 POPSKs

The special drives will be conducted in five Passport Seva Kendras including at Begumpet, Ameerpet, Tolichowki, Nizamabad and Karimnagar and 14 Post Office Passport Seva Kendras

These additional appointments would be released on the Passport Seva website on June 24 at 4.30 pm

After setting up of five Passport Seva Kendras and 14 Post Office Passport Seva Kendras under the RPO Secunderabad, the application processing was being done at the Kendras only

These appointments will be made available across all the five PSKs, including three in Hyderabad (Begumpet, Ameerpet and Tolichowki) and one each in Karimnagar and Nizamabad

The drive will be conducted on Saturdays starting from April 29, across five Passport Seva Kendras (PSK) in the region.
