BRSV activists staged a protest at Kakatiya University, Hanamkonda, demanding cancellation of the recent Group-1 exam over alleged irregularities. They accused the Congress government of neglecting unemployed youth and highlighted a disparity in selection numbers between English and Telugu medium candidates.

BRSV president Gellu Srinivas Yadav and student leaders staged protests across Telangana demanding re-conduct of the Group-1 Main exam, job calendar and fresh notifications. Police arrested several protesters, drawing criticism from BRS leaders who demanded resignations, judicial probe and cancellation of controversial orders.

The BRS has intensified its attack on the Congress-led Telangana government following the High Court’s scathing verdict on irregularities in the Group-1 Main examination. The party demanded the cancellation of the exam, withdrawal of GO 29, and dropping of cases against protesting job aspirants.

BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao accused the Telangana Congress government of misusing police forces to intimidate and silence student activists who are speaking out against the declining education system.

Former MLA Nadipelli Diwakar Rao alleged that Congress supporters attacked BRS student leader Daggula Madhu in Mancherial for exposing irregularities. Madhu sustained injuries and is recovering. Rao demanded stern police action and criticized rising political violence in Telangana.

BRSV district president Dharani Rajesh and coordinator Butti Shiva Kumar said that they were inspecting the quality of food served to students at the school during their visit.

During the protest, Ali criticized the strict attendance policies that prevented many students from appearing for exams. “These unfair policies are jeopardizing the future of over 1 lakh students,” he stated.

BRSV state secretary Jangaiah alleged that keeping aside 12,000 acres of land already acquired during the past K Chandrashekhar Rao's government for pharma city, which was ready, Revanth Reddy was looking to grab farmers land in the name of pharma clusters.

The activists staged a sit-in in front of the main gate of the university seeking action against those who forced the student to end her life.

The notification, which is vital for students who have accumulated backlogs, is yet to be issued, leaving hundreds of students, especially those from the 2021/22/23 batches, in a limbo, said the BRSV GHMC Coordinator, Mir Qurram Ali.

According to BRSV Coordinator, Mir Qurram Ali, the cessation of semester-wise supplementary exams, a policy change, had severely impacted students who are struggling to clear their backlog courses.

Students studying Intermediate, degree and post-graduation courses staged a sit-in in front of the Integrated Tribal Development Authority (ITDA)-Utnoor.

The party leadership has planned crucial meetings with the party leaders to discuss and strategise its action plan in this regard over the next couple of days.
