The BRS Vidhyarthi wing will hold a state-level student conference in Hyderabad on July 26 to oppose the Banakacherla project in Andhra Pradesh, accusing state and national leaders of conspiring to divert Telangana's water resources and pledging a protest campaign

BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao accused the Telangana Congress government of misusing police forces to intimidate and silence student activists who are speaking out against the declining education system.

The local court observed that the detention of the accused in Task Force custody for more than 24 hours was in violation of the provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
