According to police, Kathi Srinivas (35) and his daughter Rishita (7) drowned in the canal. While taking a bath, Rishita slipped into the water and drowned.

In the first incident three persons including a 10-year-old boy drowned in the Manair river near Neerukulla of Sultanabad mandal

According to police, a total of eight persons from Itharajupalli of Sultanabad mandal went to Manair river for a swim at around 11 am.

The incident took place on Sunday evening when the man along with his wife, son, daughter and two friends went for a boat ride in the rivulet near Ujani backwaters.

The body was found at the canal gates at Venkatayapalem. It was shifted to District Hospital for postmortem, police said.

The incident took place on Tuesday when a few members of a picnic party went for a river cruise on a country boat.

While the incident took place on Monday, one of the bodies was fished out on Tuesday.

A total of 22 fishermen were onboard the ill-fated boat at the time of the incident, police said.

The victims were identified as MD Riyan (12) and MD Arman, children of Saheda and Samiuddin
