Union Minister of State for Home Bandi Sanjay Kumar reacted sharply to the demolition of 46 Daari Maisamma temples in Ramagundam Municipal Corporation limits, issuing a 48-hour ultimatum to officials to rebuild the shrines. Several BRS leaders were detained by Kodangal police on Sunday after they staged a protest against the demolition of graves, Ashoorkhanas and a dargah for road widening works. Led by Mohammed Masiullah and Azam Ali, the leaders reached the site despite police checkposts.
