The accused traders were Birudu Ramesh, a native of Bopparam village in Nennel mandal and Durgam Venkatesh, a resident of Mala Gurijala village in Bellampalli mandal.

Seven quintals of seed and 500 litres of glyphosate herbicide were also recovered from them
As many as 21 quintals of spurious cotton seeds, two cars, and a weighing machine, were recovered from the accused

The man, identified as Jalla Venkatiah (52) of Madgula Mandal in Ranga Reddy district, had stored the seeds in his shop and warehouse to sell it to farmers.
Abdul Basheer was found to have stored three bags containing the prohibited seeds and was ready to sell them to gullible farmers, when the sleuths raided his house, following a tip off.
The three were taken into custody when they were secretly shipping the bags containing the seed following a tip.
